The Club de Madrid highlights the key role of cities in the fight against climate change

The congress gathered participants from local government representatives around the world, and especially from Asia, and experts in sustainable development and urban policies.

 

During the congress opening, the Club de Madrid member and Prime Minister of Korea (1994-1995), Hong-Koo Lee raised the key role that cities play in the fight against climate change and the links between this field and the economic development, affirming that “green growth is an economic growth”.
