Aminata Touré served as Prime Minister of Senegal between 2013 and until July 2014. She was the second woman to become PM of Senegal. Previously she served her country has Minister of Justice from 2012 to 2013. Currently, Aminata Touré is the Special Envoy of President Macky Sall for Internal and External Affairs.

Her areas of competence include Economy, Good Governance and Gender. Before launching a political career in Senegal, Aminata Touré worked as Director for the Gender and Human Rights World at the United Nations Population Fund.

Aminata Touré holds a PhD in International Business Administration and Finance from the International School of Management ISM in New York and Paris and a Master's Degree in Economics from the University of Dijon Business School (France).

She is fluent in English, French and Wolof and has more than 30 UNFPA worldwide publications credited to her name.
