Club de Madrid y Breakthrough Media se asocian con la Unión Europea para mejorar las respuestas a la narrativa del extremismo violento

El ex Primer Ministro de Túnez y miembro del Club de Madrid, Hamadi Jebali, y Joëlle Milquet, Asesora Especial del Presidente de la Comisión Europea sobre Víctimas del Terrorismo y ex Vice Primer Ministra Belga, intervendrán este miércoles en el evento conjunto de presentación de las iniciativas del Club de Madrid y de Breakthrough Media.

How citizens receive and perceive radical messages was the focus of the MENA Regional Forum organized by Club de Madrid in Tunisia on May 4-5. The results from the qualitative research done in the country through focus groups were shared and discussed with the participants.

Club de Madrid publishes the summary of the Next Generation Democracy Sub-Saharan Africa Roundtable.

Joaquim Chissano, Olusegun Obasanjo, Hamadi Jebali and Joyce Banda, Club de Madrid members and former Presidents and Prime Ministers of Mozambique, Nigeria, Tunisia and Malawi respectively, gathered in a two-day meeting to discuss existing good practices and transformative ideas to advance democracy in Africa, together with experts, civil society representatives, young leaders and other stakeholders from the region.

Promoting Democracy Promotes Peace

The Club de Madrid congratulates Tunisia, the National Dialogue Quarter, and also all Tunisian citizens, as the symbolic recipients of the Nobel Peace Prize awarded today. The successful adoption of the new Tunisian Constitution, the peaceful elections and the country’s efforts to build an inclusive future through democracy, the rule of law and respect for human and civil rights through dialogue is a beacon of hope for the MENA region but also for the world as a whole. The Nobel Peace Prize is a well deserved recognition of it.
