Killelea "Unemployment undermines peace"

In an article published in Project Syndicate “The Peace-Prosperity Cycle”, Steve Killelea, executive chairman of the Institute for Economics and Peace and Member of the Club de Madrid's President’s Circle, highlights that “pervasive or rising unemployment undermines peace”. Given the importance of this issue, this year´s Club de Madrid Annual Conference will be center on: ‘Societies that Work: Jobs for Inclusive Growth. A Call to the G20’. The need to increase the ability of minority women to participate in the development of Shared Societies and to ensure personal dignity of all women were among the challenges identify by the international experts gathered in Madrid. The SSP team works now on a plan with concrete proposals to address these issues.
