Six Club de Madrid Members and an African Scientific Committee to address the future of democracy in Africa

Joaquim Chissano, Hamadi Jebali, Sadig Al Mahdi, Festus Mogae and Olusegun Obasanjo, all of them Club de Madrid Members and former Presidents and Prime Ministers of Mozambique, Tunisia, Sudan, Botswana and Nigeria respectively, will gather in a two-day meeting in Dakar to identify existing good practices and transformative new ideas to advance democracy in Africa, with particular focus on Sub-Saharan African countries.
