The 2010 Urban Roundtable, a joint activity between the Club of Madrid, th OECD and the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, celebrated on May 25, 2010 at the OECD Headquarters, allowed major stakeholders to debate and discuss current best practices and identify knowledge gaps in urban green growth strategies being organised.
OECD Headquarters in Paris will be the setting for this initiative, to be held on 26 May 2010. The roundtable will bring together Former Presidents and Prime Ministers, policy makers and scholars on the so-called BRICS Countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa). This activity is part of the work being carried out by the Club of Madrid on the Political Dimensions of the World Economic Crisis, which has included four regional Roundtables on the European, Latin American, the Arab World and African perspectives.
Organised in Addis Ababa with the UN Economic Commission for Africa and the African Union Commission and the CdM partners (Strategic Initiative for Women in the Horn of Africa, Isis-WICCE and the Institute for Security Studies) on 6-9 Oct 2009, with Members Kim Campbell and Mary Robinson.
