Colombian president Juan Manuel Santos has been awarded with the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts and mediation in his country’s peace process.

Club de Madrid Member Bondevik meets with Myanmar authorities

Kjell Magne Bondevik, Prime Minister of Norway (1997-2000, 2001-2005), President of The Oslo Center for Peace and Human Rights and member of the Club de Madrid, hold an official mission to Myanmar to meet with Myanmar authorities including President Thein Sein, with whom former Prime Minister Bondevik addressed several sensitive and important issues.

We want to congratulate our Club de Madrid Honorary Member for her new seat in the Myanmar’s Parliament. Her party, the National League for Democracy (NLD), won 40 of the 45 seats it contested.
