As President of Club de Madrid, Danilo Türk shares a message before World Bank-IMF Spring Meetings
On the occasion of the World Bank (WB) and International Monetary Fund (IMF) Spring Meetings, and the decisions that will have to be taken to address the immediate and long term consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, the President of Club de Madrid, Danilo Türk, on behalf of its Members, shares a message to IMF Managing Director, Kristalina Georgieva, and WB President, David Malpass.
Thought this letter, Türk asks Georgieva and Malpass to please bring this message to their attention and through them to the policymakers who will be joining the discussions during these meetings, scheduled to take place on the 16th and 17th of April.
The COVID-19 pandemic continues raging across the world, posing a serious threat to human health and safety while fuelling concerns about its impact on the global economy and, thus, on all society.
